The traditional Yin-Yang symbol is well worth meditating on regularly, as there are many answers to many questions contained in this elegantly simple design.
Yin and Yang in the world of quantum science are the principles of particles and waves. Many subatomic entities, like light, actually behave like both. But we’ll discuss that at a later time.
With this following simple diagram, you will see many principles in action.
Now, the definitions of Wave, let alone the definition of energy, is not straight forward.
Wave is a disturbance that moves through space and time. It transfers energy but not mass.
But a wave is not to be confused with a vibration.
A vibration can be defined as an up-and-down motion around a central point. So a vibration is not necessarily a wave.
The blue dot below represents a particle being disturbed by a wave. Note that it moves up and down, being influenced by the passing wave – but not being carried along with it.
You’ve seen this many times in your life, like bouys bobbing in an ocean.

This image is worth contemplating on. One analogy I see is how individuals (blue dot) move up and down in life according to prevailing circumstances.
What analogies do you see?
